We are located at 1916 Overlook Avenue in the heart of Jefferson City, TN, close to Carson-Newman University. There is ample parking, including plenty of handicapped parking spaces. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our greeters, so feel free to ask any questions and sit where you feel most comfortable.

What to Wear
Some may wear nice jeans with a blouse, polo, or sweater. Others may do a laid-back dress up, with a simple dress or dress pants and a button-up. Others will wear T-shirts and shorts. No need to buy new clothes… we welcome you as you are.

What to Bring
Come as you are and bring your family, friends, and neighbors. Many people bring their own Bible to follow along with scripture readings. There are also Bibles available for your use, and scripture passages are displayed on the screens.

The Service
Our services begin at 11:00am and lasts about an hour. Our prayer is that you will be blessed by the worship and the message, witness baptisms and communion, and receive solid Biblical teaching that will draw you closer to the Lord and His plan for your life.

Our worship services can be viewed on Facebook Live: Emmanuel Baptist Church or listened to live on the radio at WJFC 1480 AM or 102.9 FM.

Sunday School (Small Group Connect Classes)
We gather at 9:45am for small group connect classes, also known as Sunday School. There are several classes to choose from! Ask anyone when you arrive - they will help you find a class you can get involved in.

Wednesday Nights
Join us for dinner on Wednesday nights at 5:30pm, followed by Kids Praise (children's choir) rehearsal at 6pm and Bible Study for all ages at 6:30pm. There is nursery care for infants and toddlers, Mission Friends (Ages 3-K), Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors (Grades 1-5), Youth and Young Adult, as well as Adult Bible Study, so there is truly something for all ages! Adult choir rehearses at 7:30pm each week.

Children
From birth throughout childhood, Christian education is not only critical for development, it's our God-given responsibility. We welcome children of all ages and have pre-screened and background checked volunteers who provide a loving and safe environment for them to learn about Jesus as you study God's word and participate in worship. Children are welcomed in the worship service, so please feel free to bring your babies, toddlers and children into the worship service! They are welcome to sit beside you, or you can leave them in the capable hands of our nursery volunteers, if you'd like. School-aged children can participate in children's church during the worship service.

Youth (Middle School, High School)
The mission of our Youth program is to mentor our youth while training them to seek God's will for their lives as they grow in Biblical knowledge and strengthen their walk with Jesus Christ. We encourage them to get involved in Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible Studies, connect with other believers of all ages, and serve using their time and talents as they connect with one another and develop Godly friendships with their peers.

Young Adults (College and Singles)
We have a vibrant group of college-aged and young adult singles that are active in various ministries, Bible Studies and social functions. Carson-Newman University students looking for a church home away from home - we invite you to get involved!

Music Ministry
Our music ministry offers a place for all ages to serve! From children to seniors, beginners to advanced musicians and vocalists, there's a place for you!

What We Believe
THE BIBLE - We believe that the Bible, consisting of all 66 books, is inspired by God. Through God's providence, the Bible has been protected and preserved as the only infallible and authoritative rule of faith and practice. It is the unchanging standard of right and wrong. (2 Timothy 3:16)

GOD - There is one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being - the Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe. God is holy, all-powerful, and all-knowing. His perfect knowledge encompasses all things, past, present, and future. God reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, without division of nature or essence. (Isaiah 46:9-10, Isaish 57:15)

CREATION - God created everything by His power. He created human beings in His own image and created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)

HUMANITY - God created mankind in His image. Human beings are not the product of evolution. God created us to love Him, to fellowship with Hi, and to serve Him. Adam an dEve were the first humans and were placed in a perfect environment. Through disobedience, sin entered the world, breaking humanity's fellowship with God. (Genesis 1:26-27)

SATAN - Satan is a real, created being - not a symbol or myth. He was created as an angel, but rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. His purpose is to deceive and destroy humanity. Hell was prepared as the eternal place of punishment for Satan and fallen angels. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

SIN - Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the human race. All people have sinned and are unable to please God on their own. Sin results in both physical and spiritual death, apart from God's saving grace. (Romans 3:23)

SALVATION - Salvation is a free gift from God, completely apart from works or merit. It is based solely on God's grace and the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through faith in Christ alone.

We invite you to participate in our New Members class to learn more about what we believe at Emmanuel Baptist Church. There is no obligation to join, but we hope you will feel at home and have the desire to!
